Followspot Info

Strand Lighting Solo CSI

This followspot has an arc lamp (1kW CSI/CID) which produces light with a high colour temperature.  It is suitable for almost all followspot applications where a piercing white light is required to highlight an actor or dancer on stage.  It features:

• adjustable sights which allow the operator to have "point and shoot" accuracy
• a blackout iris to adjust the beam width
• blackout shutter for quick muting
• grab bars along the side for easy handling and movement
• colour changer
• adjustable and lockable lenses
• limited mechanical dimming
• power adjustment on the ballast: 25, 50, 100%

Hirers wishing to use their own operators for Strand Solo followspots will be required to send them to an informal induction session at the start of the hire period

Prolite FS22-2.0K

This followspot has a tungsten halogen lamp (2kW CP72) which produces light with a warm colour temperature comparable to most profile spots.  It is suitable for applications where only subtle highlighting is required and where light output needs to be precisely controlled.  It features:

• an iris to adjust the beam width
• colour changer
• adjustable and lockable lenses
• full electronic dimming

Please note that rigging charges will apply if you opt for a followspot configuration other than that in the standard rig (1 x Solo CSI) due to the heavy lifting and maneuvering required to change them over
