Today, the Altona City Theatre community bids a fond farewell and good luck to our friend Elise Elmer as she prepares to step onto a plane bound for Los Angeles, USA to complete a one year work placement with Qantas to complete her degree in Event Management.

Elise has come a long way from her humble beginnings as a self-described ‘bratty’ fifteen year old student at ACTion, eventually stepping up to run the ACTion program herself at the young age of just sixteen.  In her time with ACTion she has directed more than 200 children in major musicals such as ‘Annie’, ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Seussical’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast Jr’.

Not content with her extensive work with the ACTion program, her studies, and her part-time job, Elise is also our Committee of Management Junior Vice-President, and has produced a number of senior shows – all of which have been both critical and financial successes.  Make no mistake, this is an exceptionally talented, and very special young lady.

So, today it is with some sadness that we say goodbye to Elise for the near future.  On behalf of all the committee and all members, I would like to wish Elise the very greatest of successes in LA, and we hope that when you return you will come and pay your family at ACT a visit.

You will be dearly missed.

James Morgan
President
