The time has come around again to see who has the craziness to put their hand up for the 24 hour panto. Patt Ryan, Michael “Della” Delaney and Natalie Pancetta Pannacotta La Porchetta Calia have put their hands up to direct, produce, musically direct and choreograph…are you game enough to put your hand up to star?
24 hour panto - The Wizard of Oz(tralia)
The premise of the 24 hour panto is simple…once the casting is done, we meet on Saturday at 3pm, and have 24 hours to rehearse a show before performing to a live audience.
The time commitment is from 3pm Saturday 4th September to about 6pm on Sunday 5th September. You will be able to sleep at the theatre if you want/need, as rehearsals will go into the evening and start early on Sunday. If you live near by, you will also be able to go home.
Auditionees must be over 18 at the time of the performance. Under 18’s may audition, and will be considered on a case by case basis. Parental consent will need to be gained for participation in the show.
Audition times are Saturday 21st August 2pm – 6pm and Sunday 22nd August 10am – Midday.
Auditions will be held not at the theatre, but at the EPA site, on Queen Street (there is a map below)
For your audition, please prepare one song. While the singing in the show will be of a high calibre, our auditions are a time to not only see your vocal talent, but your humour as well. We would love to hear your favourite karaoke track sung to the best of your ability. That one song that you love to sing, but never do at an audition…this is your chance! Please do not bring sheet music, as we would prefer songs to be performed with backing track.
When you book your audition, we will also arrange a short monologue for you to perform at the audition.
