This plan covers ACTion Youth Theatre classes, show rehearsals, performances, and maintenance activities taking place in Hobsons Bay City Council venues.
Physical Distancing
- We shall follow space capacities advised by Council venue management
- Patrons shall not be permitted to gather in the foyer at performances
- Kiosk facilities shall be closed at performances
- Class and rehearsal activities shall take place in large spaces only (stage and green room)
- Classes / rehearsals shall not be combined
- Crossover interactions shall be minimised between class groups by spacing start and finish times
Face Coverings
- Use of face coverings will be required in venues per government guidelines
- If the current guidelines require, participants will need to carry their own government approved face coverings to the venue
- We will provide backup disposable masks at venue entrances
Practise Good Hygiene
- We’ll provide hand sanitiser throughout the venue
- Regular washing of hands is encouraged
- Bathroom areas shall be sanitised between class groups and performances
- We’ll ensure participants and patrons have minimal contact with touch points, e.g. door handles
- Participants and patrons are encouraged to bring their own refreshments
Record Keeping
- All participants and patrons are required to check-in per venue guidelines (Service Victoria app)
- A designated COVID marshal shall cite vaccination certificates of all participants and patrons per government guidelines
- Symptomatic persons shall not be allowed in the venue
- Refunds shall be provided to any ticket holder who has COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms or is subject to a government health direction
- Council’s response plan shall be followed in the event of a positive case
Enclosed Spaces & Volunteer Bubbles
- All HVAC systems shall be run when the venue is in use
- Class activities shall take place in large spaces only (stage and green room)
- Rehearsals and classes shall only be held with the required participants scheduled in advance
